Mind & Body Healing Collective was founded in Lawrence by Anissa Pfannenstiel, LSCSW, with a simple conviction: healing is part of our nature. Our Lawrence clinicians work with children as young as four, teens, KU and Haskell students, busy professionals, couples, families and older adults, people who are hurting, curious, or simply ready for something to change.
Our home base sits on West 6th Street, with easy parking and quick access from across town, Tonganoxie and the K-10 corridor. A quiet house on Kentucky Street, a few blocks from downtown, hosts therapy as well as SomaVerse ketamine retreats and weekend workshops.
Care here is trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent affirming, and genuinely integrative. Depending on what you need, that might mean EMDR or Brainspotting for trauma, somatic work to settle an overwhelmed nervous system, IFS for the parts of you that are at war, medication support with our psychiatric nurse practitioner, or, when traditional treatment hasn't been enough, medically supervised ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.
We file most insurance plans for you, including BCBS of Kansas and Kansas City, Aetna, Cigna, United, Medicare, KanCare, Sunflower and Tricare, and offer a 40% prompt-pay discount for self-pay clients.

Where are your Lawrence therapy offices?
We have two: 2619 W 6th St (Suites A & C) and 616 Kentucky St near downtown, which is also home to our SomaVerse retreats and workshops. When you request an appointment, we'll match you with a clinician at whichever location fits your schedule, or by telehealth.
Do you see KU students?
Yes. Many of our clinicians specialize in college-age and young-adult concerns: identity, anxiety, depression, relationships, academic pressure and big life transitions. Evening appointments are available (office hours run until 9 PM on weekdays), and telehealth is an option during busy semesters.
How much does therapy cost in Lawrence without insurance?
Our standard rates are $275 for a 60-minute intake, then $250 for 60 minutes, $175 for 45 minutes or $125 for 30 minutes. Paying the day of your session earns a 40% prompt-pay discount, and providers can discuss individualized reduced rates.
Can I get ketamine therapy in Lawrence?
Yes. SomaVerse, our ketamine troche program, is offered in Lawrence (where our group journeys meet), Overland Park and Topeka. Every client starts with a medical evaluation, and sessions happen in the office, or at home once you’ve completed our main program and are medically approved, alongside a ketamine-trained therapist, guide and integration groups.
Do you offer psychiatry or medication management in Lawrence?
Yes. Our psychiatric nurse practitioner offers holistic, unhurried medication management in Lawrence and Overland Park, and by telehealth anywhere in Kansas.
