Susan Weimer
PHD, LSCSW (she/her)
- Lawrence, KS
I was originally trained in psycho-dynamics, human development, ego psychology and systems theories. However, my practice has become more eclectic over the years.
In addition to using elements of each of the above approaches to therapy, I am a strong believer in the power of each person to effect change in their own lives, given the tools with which to work.
Some of the other modalities I currently use are: cognitive therapy, strengths-based therapy, mindfulness, breath practice, psycho-education, work-life balance, solution-focused, and brief therapy.
I work primarily with individual adults 22 years of age and older around issues such as anxiety, depression, grief/loss, life transitions, relationships.
Use the emotions and challenges of your life to build greater confidence in who you are. Use the energy of your challenges; don’t be used by them.
