"What cannot be expressed to the other cannot be expressed to the self." - John Bowlby

We truly live through our relationships to others. Our actions, feelings, and body sensations have meanings and purposes-even the actions that seem to be hurting us. Often, they come from places of deep wisdom about our unmet needs or longings. Together, we can discover and nurture those longings in ways that are aligned with your values.

There is no one-size-fits-all therapeutic approach. Mine is eclectic and incorporates multiple theoretical frameworks. Ultimately, our relationship with each other is the core of successful therapy. I'm trained as a social worker and bring a holistic perspective to therapy. The social and political systems that affect us can't be separated from the individual struggles that might lead us to seek therapy. I will not ignore those systems or their impact on you in our work together.

I began my career in crisis intervention and have worked in community mental health settings with families, children, and adults. Prior to getting my training in social work, I studied fine art and creative writing. I work with people across the lifespan, including children as young as 12. I have a special passion for helping families and couples who are struggling to understand each other create the relationships they long for. I look forward to working with you.
